Photography has been a doctor for me. It has served me as a bridge between the past and the presence. I find all my images as self portraits. Physical, emotional or symbolical. All of them is my journey within.
When I get tired of it and chasing the path, I want to build a house. Use any other material for expressing the need of letting go.
Officially I have BA in History of Arts from Art Academy of Latvia. But I will be honest - life and pain has been my best teachers. And along that I have always searched for teachers, chefs, varriors, believers that would enlight my understanding of world and self. And I have always met them. A lot.
I have crossed my passes through various masterclasess with such mentors and amazing artists as Jim Goldberg, Yurie Nagashima, Vanessa Winship, George Georgiou, Teun van der Heijden, Pablo Hannon, Christian Caujolle, Christopher Doyle, Brigitte Lacombet and many many more , that have showed me how to get closeer to the truth. To who I really am. Who have encouraged me enourmously to be big and brave in whatever I do.
